Petworth House Spring Festival Foraging Walk

Forage through the stunning Petworth House and Gardens at their Spring Festival

Experience all the bounty that spring has to offer in this foraging mushroom and plant workshop at the historic Petworth Park. Learn about the seasonal delights that early spring brings with our expert foragers and end the day with a new found knowledge of the world around you.

Join us on a 2-3 hour foraging walk and talk through woodlands, meadows and hedgerows, learning what the season has to offer. Deep dive into the world of wild food guided by professional foragers, scientists and herbalists. Learn the myths, folklore, history, medical uses and edibility of common and unusual wild food. Start the walk at the Pleasure Garden of Petworth House and then explore the parks and gardens led by our experts. We will stop halfway for a cup of hand-crafted wild tea before continuing on with the forage.

Please dress appropriately for the weather. Raincoats and wellies are encouraged.
